  • Smokehouse Tour (Monday-Friday): For 30-45 minutes, our expert guides will lead you through an in-depth look at each step of the smoked meat process. From the secret spice blends to hand-tended fires, witness the artistry that goes into creating our signature flavors.
  • Behind the Smoke Tour (Sat & Sun): During the week, you’ll experience the sights and sounds of our smokehouses in action. On weekends, for 30-45 minutes, you’ll unlock exclusive access to areas closed during production — a rare behind-the-scenes journey inside the production facility and smokehouses you normally can’t step into during operating hours.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Please note: While it is our intention to adhere to the route described above, there is a certain amount of flexibility built into the itinerary and on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable to make alterations.

Children under the age of 5 are not permitted on the Smokehouse Tour. Ages 5 through 17 must be accompanied by an adult, aged 18 or older.

All Smokehouse Tour participants must sign a release which will be provided at the Smokehouse Outlet upon check-in. The release ensures that tour participants acknowledge that he/she will be entering an area where industrial activity is performed, including the use of heavy, moving machinery and other hazards associated with a smokehouse or industrial facility. The release holder agrees to assume all risk of illness or injury and hold the Palmyra Bologna Company harmless for any illness/injury that occurs while the holder is on the Smokehouse Tour.

Due to the nature of the facility, this tour is not accessible for those with impaired mobility or requiring a mobility device.
Closed-toe shoes are required. Persons wearing opened-toe shoes or high-heels will not be permitted on the tour. Boots or sneakers are strongly encouraged.

Dirt, soot, and smoke are part of the entire experience, so expect a few “freckles” at the end! (Please keep this in mind when wearing white or khaki-colored clothing especially.)
